How to Get Dartrix in Scarlet & Violet
No wild encounters for Dartrix. The 2-stage line runs through Rowlet, which you can catch at moderate rates from the locations below. Evolve at level 17 once you've got the levels.
Dartrix Weakness
Dartrix's Grass/Flying typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice, Fire, Poison, Flying, and Rock. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Ground-type attacks completely.

| 4x (Critical) | Ice |
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Poison, Flying, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Fighting |

Dartrix Evolutions
Dartrix is the middle stage between Rowlet and Decidueye. It's a three-stage line with one more evolution to go. For breeding, quick to hatch with a decent partner pool via one egg group. So far, Attack got the biggest boost (+20 from Rowlet). The final form adds another 110 stats on top. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.

You'll want to breed for Confuse Ray and Defog on Dartrix. These egg moves aren't just nice to have. Combined with STAB from Leaf Storm and Brave Bird, they expand what Dartrix can actually threaten in practice.

Dartrix Scarlet & Violet Guide
In Scarlet & Violet, Dartrix isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Decidueye to unlock its full potential. At 420 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In Scarlet & Violet, watch for Weavile (Ice), Infernape (Fire), and Salazzle (Poison) when using Dartrix. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Weavile is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Flying and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Overgrow strengthens grass moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. That's the one you want on Dartrix. Long Reach is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
In Scarlet & Violet, Dartrix fills the support role. It's a mixed attacker with base 75 Attack and 70 Sp. Atk. At base 52 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Scarlet & Violet, Dartrix does the job early-game if you need a Grass/Flying type on your team. Evolve it into Decidueye before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
Game Availability
Introduced in Sun & Moon, Dartrix has appeared in 5 games across 4 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
