Stats & Training
Sunflora's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, Speed trails, 2 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 2 Sp. Atk EVs, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
In the daytime, it rushes about in a hectic manner, but it comes to a complete stop when the sun sets.
Since it converts sunlight into energy, it is always looking in the direction of the sun.
Sunflora Weakness
Sunflora is weak to Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. Sunflora's special bulk (base 85 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

How to Get Sunflora in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon
No wild encounters for Sunflora in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. Bring Sunkern over from Gold, Crystal, or Scarlet, then level through the stages. Each step in the chain is laid out below.
Sunflora Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Sunflora's biggest threats include Charizard (Fire), Cloyster (Ice), and Crobat (Poison), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Flying and Bug-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 30 Speed, Sunflora won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Sunkern evolves into Sunflora using a Sun Stone. Sunflora is the fully evolved form. It sits at 425 BST in its evolved form.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Sunflora can work for a story run. 425 BST is average, but Grass typing fills a niche depending on your team composition.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Don't let Sunflora's 425 base stat total fool you. Chlorophyll is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as an attacker. Earthpower with Life Orb is the standard set.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Run Chlorophyll on Sunflora. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Sunflora also gets Solar Power and Early Bird, but they don't compare.
Game Availability
Sunflora has been available in 16 games since Gold & Silver, though obtaining it requires an item-based evolution. This extra step makes it less common than Pokemon found through standard wild encounters.
