Stats & Training
Seismitoad's spread is anchored by HP, with balanced defenses backing it up. Speed is the clear weak point. Worth 3 HP EVs per KO, and the 1.06M XP medium-slow curve keeps leveling painless.
They shoot paralyzing liquid from their head bumps. They use vibration to hurt their opponents.
It increases the power of its punches by vibrating the bumps on its fists. It can turn a boulder to rubble with one punch.
Seismitoad Weakness
Grass moves hit Seismitoad for super-effective damage. Grass hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Electric-type moves can't touch it at all. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. Water Absorb grants an additional Water immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. With 105 HP and balanced defenses, Seismitoad can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

Seismitoad Guide
In Black & White, Don't let Seismitoad's 499 base stat total fool you. Swift Swim is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier. Scald with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Black & White, Run Swift Swim on Seismitoad. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Seismitoad also gets Poison Touch and Water Absorb, but they don't compare.
In Black & White, Seismitoad fills the balanced role. It's a mixed attacker with base 85 Attack and 85 Sp. Atk. Base 74 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Black & White, Seismitoad's hidden ability is Water Absorb. Absorbs water moves, healing for 1/4 max HP. Better than the standard options for competitive play.
Game Availability
Introduced in Black & White, Seismitoad has appeared in 8 games across 6 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
