Is Decidueye Good in Scarlet & Violet Playthrough?
Grass/Ghost Decidueye brings high Attack with a unique typing. Ghost immunity to Normal and Fighting adds defensive value. Long Reach (hidden ability) prevents contact-based retaliation. A solid DLC starter for players who want Grass coverage with Ghost tricks.
Rowlet resists most of Katy's coverage and hits back hard.
Rowlet has the type edge here and should clean up Brassius's team.

How to Get Decidueye in Scarlet & Violet
You're catching Rowlet first, not Decidueye. Rowlet appears at moderate rates in the encounters below. The step cards map the full 3-stage chain with evolution methods between each stage.
Decidueye Weakness
Decidueye is weak to Fire, Ice, Flying, Ghost, and Dark. On the flip side, it's immune to Normal and Fighting-type moves entirely. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Decidueye's special bulk (base 100 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
