Stats & Training
An unusually even spread gives Tympole flexibility. Speed barely edges ahead. But Defense isn't far off. Easy to catch and follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve. Yields 1 Speed EV.
By vibrating its cheeks, it emits sound waves imperceptible to humans and warns others of danger.

Tympole Weakness
Tympole's Water typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric and Grass. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Water Absorb grants an additional Water immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Grass |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fire, Water, Ice, Steel |

Level 25 gets you Palpitoad. Not the fastest evolution, so consider Exp. Share or route grinding to speed it up.
For X & Y, you can run Tympole through the first few routes without issues. 294 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Palpitoad as fast as you can.
