Stats & Training
Crawdaunt's built around physical offense. Attack leads the charge, Sp. Def pays for it. Common in the wild, worth 2 Attack EVs. Follows a standard growth curve.
It is a ruffian that uses its pincers to pick up and toss out other Pokémon from its pond.
Loving to battle, this Pokémon pinches all Pokémon that enter its territory with its pincers and throws them out.
Crawdaunt Weakness
Type-wise, Crawdaunt takes extra damage from Electric, Grass, Fighting, Bug, and Fairy. Psychic moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that. Crawdaunt's physical bulk (base 85 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Crawdaunt Guide
In X & Y, Don't let Crawdaunt's 468 base stat total fool you. Adaptability is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as a cannon. Aqua Jet with Life Orb is the standard set.
In X & Y, Run Adaptability on Crawdaunt. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Crawdaunt also gets Hyper Cutter and Shell Armor, but they don't compare.
In X & Y, Crawdaunt fills the cannon role. It's a physical attacker with base 120 Attack. At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For X & Y, the core moveset is Aqua Jet, Crabhammer, Knock Off, and Swords Dance. Aqua Jet leads at 25% usage. Crabhammer provides reliable STAB damage.
