By vibrating its cheeks, it emits sound waves imperceptible to humans and warns others of danger.

Tympole Weakness

Tympole's Water typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric and Grass. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Water Absorb grants an additional Water immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.

Tympole Guide

  • Palpitoad at level 25 is the mid-stage. Push through to Seismitoad at level 36 for the final form. 294 BST right now won't cut it long-term.

  • Level 25 gets you Palpitoad. Not the fastest evolution, so consider Exp. Share or route grinding to speed it up.

  • For Black 2 & White 2, you can run Tympole through the first few routes without issues. 294 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Palpitoad as fast as you can.

  • You can find Tympole in Black 2 & White 2. The Locations section has the full breakdown of routes and encounter details. It also appears in 7 other games across the series.

Game Availability
