Stats & Training
Terrakion's spread isn't flashy. Attack leads, Sp. Atk trails, 5 stats clear the bar. Near-impossible to catch and worth 3 Attack EVs, on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
This Pokémon came to the defense of Pokémon that had lost their homes in a war among humans.
Its charge is strong enough to break through a giant castle wall in one blow. This Pokémon is spoken of in legends.
Terrakion Weakness
Terrakion's Rock/Fighting typing leaves it vulnerable to Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground, Psychic, and Steel. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground, Psychic, Steel |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Normal, Fire, Poison, Bug, Rock, Dark |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)

Black & White Terrakion Best Moveset
One guaranteed turn is all Terrakion needs. Focus Sash buys it, max Attack and Speed EVs make it count, and Justified adds something extra. The goal: deal early damage and deal damage with Close Combat. The remaining moves gives it play beyond just the lead turn.

Without TMs, Terrakion's movepool is bare bones. With them, you get Normal and Flying coverage and more on top of Close Combat and Focus Blast for STAB. The natural kit handles basics, but TMs are doing the real work.

Terrakion Guide
For the Black & White meta, At 580 BST, Terrakion is built different. We rank it A-Tier. As a Legendary Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a sweeper. Close Combat with Focus Sash is the standard set.
Justified raises Attack one stage upon taking damage from a dark move. That's the one you want on Terrakion. It's the only ability Terrakion has.
In Black & White, Terrakion fills the sweeper role. It's leaning toward the physical side (base 129 Attack). Base 108 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For Black & White, Terrakion has answers, but so do you. Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.
Game Availability
Terrakion has appeared in 9 games since Black & White, spanning 6 generations. As a Legendary, it's typically a one-per-save encounter tied to the story or post-game content.
