Mew Weakness

Mew's Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to Bug, Ghost, and Dark. Mew's overall bulk (100/100/100) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee Mew Best Moveset

This is a pure walling set. Leftovers provides passive recovery each turn so Mew sticks around, and the Bold nature reinforces physical wall. The moveset handles sustain while Synchronize does work passively.

Best Build

Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee uses different battle mechanics.

Competitive build content is not applicable for this game. Select a main series game for builds.

Moves

Breadth over depth defines this movepool. Mew won't stack one type's damage ceiling, but coverage across 17 types means it always has an effective option. Dream Eater and Psychic anchor the STAB core.

Mew Guide

  • For the Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee meta, At 600 BST, Mew is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a support. Fakeout with Leftovers is the standard set.

  • In Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee, watch for Pinsir (Bug), Gengar (Ghost), and Houndoom (Dark) when using Mew. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Mew has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.

  • Synchronize copies burns, paralysis, and poison received onto the Pokémon that inflicted them. That's the one you want on Mew. It's the only ability Mew has.

  • Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Mew is leaning toward the physical side (base 100 Attack). Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a support.

  • For Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee, Mew has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Bug, Ghost, and Dark-type attackers hit hardest.

Game Availability

Mew first appeared in Red & Blue and has been available in 20 titles. Mythical distribution means event-only access in most games, making it one of the harder Pokemon to collect.
