Latios Weakness
Ice, Bug, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, and Fairy moves hit Latios for super-effective damage. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Latios's special bulk (base 110 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Moves
Without TMs, Latios's movepool is bare bones. With them, you get coverage across 9 types on top of Draco Meteor and Future Sight for STAB. The natural kit handles basics, but TMs are doing the real work.

How to Get Latios in Scarlet & Violet
Latios Guide
For the Scarlet & Violet meta, At 600 BST, Latios is built different. We rank it S-Tier. As a Legendary Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a sweeper. Draco Meteor with Souldew is the standard set.
Mega Evolution isn't available in Scarlet & Violet, but Latios does have a Mega form in Gen 6-7 games (X/Y, ORAS, Sun/Moon). Mega Latios hits 700 BST.
In Scarlet & Violet, watch for Lapras (Ice), Heracross (Bug), and Misdreavus (Ghost) when using Latios. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Dragon, Dark, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
In Scarlet & Violet, Run Levitate on Latios. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. With base 110 Speed, Levitate gives Latios an edge before opponents can react.
In Scarlet & Violet, Latios fills the sweeper role. It's leaning toward the special side (base 130 Sp. Atk). Base 110 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Game Availability
