This is a pure walling set. Heavy-Duty Boots provides hazard immunity on every switch-in so Lanturn sticks around, and the Calm nature reinforces special wall. Rest handles sustain while Voltabsorb does work passively.

In Scarlet & Violet, Don't let Lanturn's 460 base stat total fool you. Volt Absorb is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it B-Tier as a support. Volt Switch with Heavy-Duty Boots is the standard set.
In Scarlet & Violet, Run Volt Absorb on Lanturn. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Lanturn also gets Illuminate and Water Absorb, but they don't compare.
In Scarlet & Violet, Lanturn fills the support role. It's a special attacker with base 76 Sp. Atk. At base 67 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Scarlet & Violet, Lanturn's hidden ability is Water Absorb. Absorbs water moves, healing for 1/4 max HP. Better than the standard options for competitive play.
