Stats & Training
Eldegoss's built to absorb hits, not race for knockouts. Special bulk with Sp. Def doing the heavy lifting. And the medium-fast 1M XP curve means it won't take forever to bring up, worth 2 Sp. Def EVs.
The seeds attached to its cotton fluff are full of nutrients. It spreads them on the wind so that plants and other Pokémon can benefit from them.
The cotton on the head of this Pokémon can be spun into a glossy, gorgeous yarn—a Galar regional specialty.
Eldegoss Weakness
Type-wise, Eldegoss takes extra damage from Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug. The Grass typing picks up 4 resistances to work with. Eldegoss's special bulk (base 120 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Eldegoss Guide
In Sword & Shield, Eldegoss looks average on paper at 460 BST. But Regenerator is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier on our tier list. Pollenpuff with Aguavberry is the standard set.
Eldegoss gets Regenerator, Cotton Down, and Effect Spore. But Regenerator is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Eldegoss is leaning toward the special side (base 80 Sp. Atk). Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often.
For Sword & Shield, the core moveset is Pollenpuff, Protect, Giga Drain, and Leech Seed. Pollenpuff leads at 22% usage. This set covers the balanced role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
Since Sword & Shield, Eldegoss has been obtainable in 1 games. A Generation 8 debut means a shorter history, but Eldegoss has appeared steadily across every generation since.
