Imbued with Gigantamax energy, its wings can whip up winds more forceful than any a hurricane could muster. The gusts blow everything away.

Corviknight Weakness

Corviknight's Flying/Steel typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire and Electric. It shrugs off Poison and Ground-type attacks completely. With 8 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Corviknight's overall bulk (98/105/85) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Corviknight Guide

  • For Sword & Shield, we rate Corviknight A-Tier: a strong pick in Sword & Shield's competitive scene. At 495 BST, it fits the support role. Roost with Rocky Helmet is the standard set.

  • In Sword & Shield, watch for Arcanine (Fire) and Regieleki (Electric) when using Corviknight. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Pressure increases the PP cost of moves targetting the Pokémon by one. That's the one you want on Corviknight. Mirror Armor is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Unnerve works too if your team needs something different.

  • At base 67 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Corviknight is leaning toward the physical side (base 87 Attack). Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a support.

  • For Sword & Shield, Corviknight has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Fire and Electric-type attackers hit hardest.

Game Availability

Since debuting in Sword & Shield, Corviknight has appeared in 3 titles over 3 generations. Along the way, it received a Gigantamax form in Generation 8, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
