Stats & Training
Sp. Atk and Speed carry most of Cherrim's stat budget. Attack's the obvious dump stat. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
After absorbing plenty of sunlight, Cherrim takes this form. It’s full of energy while it’s like this, and its liveliness will go on until sundown.
The faint scent that emanates from its full blossom entices bug Pokémon to it.
Cherrim Weakness
Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug moves hit Cherrim for super-effective damage. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. 5 weaknesses means you'll want teammates that can handle the coverage gaps.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Bug |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Ground |
In Sword & Shield, Scizor's Knock Off hits Cherrim for 35-41%. Celesteela's Air Slash also KOs at 103-122%.

Sword & Shield Evolution
Evolved from Cherubi. Cherrim is the final form in this two-stage line. A decent partner pool for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. Speed grew the most through evolution (+50 over Cherubi), and Cherrim peaks at 450 total stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Cherrim to get Cherubi eggs easily using 43 partners from the Fairy and Plant egg groups. Notable egg moves include Aromatherapy, Defense Curl, Flower Shield and 7 more.
Sword & Shield Cherrim Best Moveset
Cherrim leads with Focus Sash insurance. Even if it can't take a hit naturally, it'll survive long enough to deal early damage. Max Attack and Speed EVs go all-in on offense since bulk doesn't matter here.

Cherrim Guide
For Sword & Shield, we rate Cherrim C-Tier: a niche pick in Sword & Shield's meta. At 450 BST, the stats are spread pretty evenly. Weatherball with Focus Sash is the standard set.
Flower Gift increases friendly Pokémon's Attack and Special Defense to 1.5× during strong sunlight. That's the one you want on Cherrim. It's the only ability Cherrim has.
Base 85 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Cherrim is leaning toward the special side (base 87 Sp. Atk). Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For Sword & Shield, Cherrim has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Fire, Ice, and Poison-type attackers hit hardest.
Game Availability
Available in 12 titles since its debut in Diamond & Pearl, Cherrim spans 7 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through wild encounters in a solid number of games.
