Legend says that on clear, quiet nights, it listens for the voices of its kin living on the moon. I, too, often think of my homeland, so far away.

Legends: Arceus Clefable Best Moveset

This is a pure walling set. Leftovers provides passive recovery each turn so Clefable sticks around, and the Bold nature reinforces physical wall. Soft-Boiled handles sustain while Magic Guard does work passively.

Moves

Clefable's movepool balances level-up moves with TM options. Consistent STAB comes from Moonblast and Play Rough, and coverage across 10 types keeps opponents from switching in for free. No major gaps here.

Clefable Guide

  • In Legends: Arceus, Don't let Clefable's 483 base stat total fool you. Magic Guard is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it A-Tier. Moonblast with Leftovers is the standard set.

  • In Legends: Arceus, Clefable's biggest threats include Gengar (Poison) and Steelix (Steel), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • In Legends: Arceus, Run Magic Guard on Clefable. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Clefable also gets Cute Charm and Unaware, but they don't compare.

  • In Legends: Arceus, Clefable fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 95 Sp. Atk. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.

  • In Legends: Arceus, the best way to handle Clefable: Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Poison and Steel-type attackers hit hardest.

Game Availability

Clefable has been part of the series since Red & Blue, appearing in 22 titles across all 10 generations. As a Gen 1 original, it's one of the most consistently available Pokemon in the franchise.
