Stats & Training
Bulk defines Sylveon's stat line. Sp. Def and Sp. Atk anchor the defensive side, but Speed can't keep up offensively. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Def EVs.
It sends a soothing aura from its ribbonlike feelers to calm fights.
It wraps its ribbonlike feelers around the arm of its beloved Trainer and walks with him or her.
Sylveon Weakness
Sylveon is weak to Poison and Steel. On the flip side, it's immune to Dragon-type moves entirely. Sylveon's special bulk (base 130 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Poison, Steel |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fighting, Bug, Dark |
| 0x (Immune) | Dragon |
In X & Y, Excadrill's Earthquake hits Sylveon for 55-65%. Garchomp deals 54-63% with Earthquake.

Sylveon Guide
For X & Y, we rate Sylveon B-Tier: a solid option in X & Y for the right team. At 525 BST, it fits the tank role. Hypervoice with Choice Specs is the standard set.
Cute Charm is the go-to ability for Sylveon. It has a 30% chance of infatuating attacking Pokémon on contact. Its hidden ability Pixilate can work in specific setups.

For X & Y, the core moveset is Hypervoice, Psyshock, Helpinghand, and Protect. Hypervoice leads at 25% usage. This set covers the tank role with a mix of damage and utility.
