Stats & Training
Flaaffy's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, Speed trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 2 Sp. Atk EVs, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
Its fluffy fleece easily stores electricity. Its rubbery hide keeps it from being electrocuted.
If its coat becomes fully charged with electricity, its tail lights up. It fires hair that zaps on impact.
Flaaffy Weakness
Flaaffy is weak to Ground. Its Electric typing keeps the defensive matchups simple. Only 1 weakness makes it relatively easy to build around defensively.

Flaaffy Guide
In X & Y, Flaaffy isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Ampharos to unlock its full potential. At 365 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In X & Y, Flaaffy's biggest threats include Golem (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Static is the go-to ability for Flaaffy. It has a 30% chance of paralyzing attacking Pokémon on contact. Its hidden ability Plus can work in specific setups.
In X & Y, Flaaffy fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 80 Sp. Atk. Base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
Game Availability
Flaaffy first appeared in Gold & Silver and has been available in 17 games across 9 generations. Obtainable through catching or hatching as a base form in most titles where it appears.
