Stats & Training
HP and Attack carry most of Slowpoke's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Common in the wild and yields 1 HP stat exp. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Incredibly slow and dopey. It takes 5 seconds for it to feel pain when under attack.

Slowpoke Weakness
Slowpoke's Water/Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric and Grass. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Slowpoke's physical bulk (base 65 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Grass |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fire, Water, Ice, Fighting, Psychic |
| 0x (Immune) | Ghost |
- Only 15 types exist — Dark, Steel, and Fairy are absent
- Ghost has no effect on Psychic (a known bug, fixed in Gen II)
- Special stat governs both offense and defense — no Sp.Atk / Sp.Def split
