Stats & Training
HP and Attack carry most of Slowpoke's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Common in the wild and yields 1 HP stat exp. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It lazes vacantly near water. If something bites its tail, it won’t even notice for a whole day.
A sweet sap leaks from its tail’s tip. Although not nutritious, the tail is pleasant to chew on.
Slowpoke Weakness
Slowpoke's Water/Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Grass, Bug, Ghost, and Dark. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Slowpoke's physical bulk (base 65 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Grass, Bug, Ghost, Dark |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fire, Water, Ice, Fighting, Psychic, Steel |
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
- Special stat split into Sp.Atk and Sp.Def

Slowpoke Guide
Multiple options from Slowpoke: Slowbro at level 37, Slowking while holding a Kings Rock, Galarian Slowbro using a Galarica Cuff, and Galarian Slowking using a Galarica Wreath. Each branch takes the 315 BST base in a different direction.
Not a straight line. Slowpoke can become Slowbro at level 37, Slowking while holding a Kings Rock, Galarian Slowbro using a Galarica Cuff, and Galarian Slowking using a Galarica Wreath. Your choice depends on what you need.
For Gold & Silver, you can run Slowpoke through the first few routes without issues. 315 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Slowbro as fast as you can.
