Stats & Training
Defense leads and Speed gets almost nothing. That's Registeel's stat line in a nutshell. 3 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Near-impossible to catch and yields 3 Defense and Sp. Def EVs.
Registeel’s body is made of a strange material that is flexible enough to stretch and shrink but also more durable than any metal.
It’s rumored that this Pokémon was born deep underground in the planet’s mantle and that it emerged onto the surface 10,000 years ago.
Registeel Weakness
Registeel's Steel typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Fighting, and Ground. It shrugs off Poison-type attacks completely. With 10 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Registeel's overall bulk (80/150/150) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Fighting, Ground |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Normal, Grass, Ice, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Dragon, Steel, Fairy |

In Sword & Shield, Incineroar's Flare Blitz hits Registeel for 59-70%.

How to Get Registeel in Sword & Shield
Registeel Guide
For the Sword & Shield meta, At 580 BST, Registeel is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Legendary Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a wall. Bodypress with Leftovers is the standard set.
Clear Body prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokémon. That's the one you want on Registeel. Light Metal is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Registeel is leaning toward the physical side (base 75 Attack). Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a wall.
In Sword & Shield, run Bodypress, Iron Defense, Amnesia, and Rest on Registeel. Bodypress is the most common pick at 15% usage. This set covers the wall role with a mix of damage and utility.
