Stats & Training
Defense leads and Speed gets almost nothing. That's Registeel's stat line in a nutshell. 3 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Near-impossible to catch and yields 3 Defense and Sp. Def EVs.
Tempered by pressure underground over tens of thousands of years, its body cannot be scratched.
Its body is said to be harder than any kind of metal. A study has revealed that its body is hollow.
Registeel Weakness
Registeel's Steel typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Fighting, and Ground. It shrugs off Poison-type attacks completely. With 10 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Registeel's overall bulk (80/150/150) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

How to Get Registeel in X & Y
No wild encounters for Registeel in X & Y. It's available in Ruby, Emerald, or Ultra Sun and can be transferred over. The details below show where to find it.
Registeel Guide
For the X & Y meta, At 580 BST, Registeel is built different. We rank it C-Tier. As a Legendary Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a wall. Sleep Talk with Rocky Helmet is the standard set.
Clear Body prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokémon. That's the one you want on Registeel. Light Metal is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Registeel is a physical attacker with base 75 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a wall.
In X & Y, run Sleep Talk, Ironhead, Earthquake, and Rest on Registeel. Sleep Talk is the most common pick at 25% usage. This set covers the wall role with a mix of damage and utility.
