Stats & Training
The stat bars tell the story: Sp. Def carries everything and Speed's dead weight. But this Compass Pokemon still yields 3 Defense and Sp. Def EVs per fight on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It radiates such a powerful magnetic field that nearby electrical appliances become unusable.
The main body controls three mobile units called Mini-Noses, which it maneuvers to catch prey.
Probopass Weakness
Probopass is weak to Fighting, Ground, and Water. Watch out for Fighting and Ground attacks, those deal 4x damage. On the flip side, it's immune to Poison-type moves entirely. It resists 8 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Probopass's overall bulk (60/145/150) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Probopass Guide
In Sun & Moon, Probopass works as a support with 525 BST behind it. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in Sun & Moon's meta. Earthpower with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Sun & Moon, Probopass's biggest threats include Machamp (Fighting), Golem (Ground), and Gyarados (Water), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Machamp is the most dangerous since Fighting moves deal 4x damage. At base 40 Speed, Probopass won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Sturdy is the go-to ability for Probopass. It prevents being KOed from full HP, leaving 1 HP instead. Its hidden ability Sand Force can work in specific setups. Magnet Pull is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
Probopass is a special attacker with base 75 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 40 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the support role.
In Sun & Moon, the best way to handle Probopass: Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Fighting, Ground, and Water-type attackers hit hardest.
Game Availability
Since Diamond & Pearl, Probopass has been in 12 games. Requiring an item-based evolution to obtain means it's consistently available but requires more effort than simply catching it in the wild.
