Stats & Training
Attack and Defense carry most of Lurantis's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Attack EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
For self-protection, it pretends to be a bug Pokémon. Both of its arms bear keen-edged petals.
As it slashes into its enemies, it looks like it’s dancing. Its elegant appearance has led some to call it the most glamorous Grass Pokémon.
Lurantis Weakness
Type-wise, Lurantis takes extra damage from Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. That's a lot of weak spots to cover so team support is important.

Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Lurantis Best Moveset
Nothing fancy here. Lurantis builds around Sitrus Berry for a one-time health recovery at low HP, Brave nature for the right stat lean, and max HP and Attack EVs. Contrary does its job quietly.

The egg pool carries weight here. Aromatherapy and Defog aren't available any other way for Lurantis, and they meaningfully change what it threatens. Stack those on top of Leaf Storm and Solar Blade for solid options.

Lurantis Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Contrary changes the entire equation for Lurantis. The 480 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as an attacker. Superpower with Sitrus Berry is the standard set.
Contrary is what you want on Lurantis. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Leaf Guard) work on paper but Contrary is what makes Lurantis worth using.
Base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Lurantis is a physical attacker with base 105 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as an attacker.
For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, the core moveset is Superpower, Leafblade, Knock Off, and Protect. Superpower leads at 24% usage. This set covers the attacker role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
Lurantis joined the series in Sun & Moon and has been available in 4 titles so far. With 4 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
