For HeartGold & SoulSilver, we rate Hypno C-Tier: a niche pick in HeartGold & SoulSilver's meta. At 483 BST, it fits the support role. Psychic with Leftovers is the standard set.
Insomnia prevents sleep. That's the one you want on Hypno. Inner Focus is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Forewarn works too if your team needs something different.
At base 67 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Hypno is a special attacker with base 73 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a support.
For HeartGold & SoulSilver, Hypno has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Bug, Ghost, and Dark-type attackers hit hardest.
