Stats & Training
Gardevoir's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, Attack trails, 3 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 3 Sp. Atk EVs, on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It unleashes psychokinetic energy at full power when protecting a Trainer it has bonded closely with.

Gardevoir Weakness
Type-wise, Gardevoir takes extra damage from Bug, Ghost, and Dark. Gardevoir's special bulk (base 115 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Bug, Ghost, Dark |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fighting, Psychic |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Tyranitar can KO Gardevoir with Crunch (138-162%). Gengar threatens a KO with Shadow Ball (110-129%). Scizor's U-turn also KOs at 194-229%.

Gardevoir Guide
In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Gardevoir has a 518 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a niche pick in HeartGold & SoulSilver's meta. It works best as a wallbreaker. Psychic with Leftovers is the standard set.
Mega Evolution isn't available in HeartGold & SoulSilver, but Gardevoir does have a Mega form in Gen 6-7 games (X/Y, ORAS, Sun/Moon). Mega Gardevoir hits 618 BST.
In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Gardevoir's biggest threats include Heracross (Bug), Misdreavus (Ghost), and Absol (Dark), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.
Synchronize is the go-to ability for Gardevoir. It copies burns, paralysis, and poison received onto the Pokémon that inflicted them. Its hidden ability Telepathy can work in specific setups. Trace is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Gardevoir fills the wallbreaker role. It's a special attacker with base 125 Sp. Atk. Base 80 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
