  • Get Ledyba to Ledian at level 18. At 265 BST, Ledyba is just the starting point.

  • Level 18 gets you Ledian. Quick enough that Ledyba barely slows you down.

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Ledyba does the job early-game if you need a Bug/Flying type on your team. Evolve it into Ledian before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
