Stats & Training
The stat budget goes to damage. Sp. Atk and Attack carry the offense, Speed doesn't even come close. An Anteater Pokemon on a medium-fast 1M XP curve, worth 2 Sp. Atk EVs per KO.
There’s a hole in its tail that allows it to draw in the air it needs to keep its fire burning. If the hole gets blocked, this Pokémon will fall ill.
A flame serves as its tongue, melting through the hard shell of Durant so that Heatmor can devour their insides.
Heatmor Weakness
Heatmor's Fire typing leaves it vulnerable to Water, Ground, and Rock. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Flash Fire grants an additional Fire immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.

How to Get Heatmor in Sun & Moon
Heatmor Guide
In Sun & Moon, Flash Fire changes the entire equation for Heatmor. The 484 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as an attacker. Firelash with Assault Vest is the standard set.
Flash Fire is what you want on Heatmor. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Gluttony, White Smoke) work on paper but Flash Fire is what makes Heatmor worth using.
At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Heatmor is a mixed attacker with base 97 Attack and 105 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as an attacker.
In Sun & Moon, run Firelash, Giga Drain, Superpower, and Overheat on Heatmor. Firelash is the most common pick at 25% usage. Overheat provides reliable STAB damage.
