Stats & Training
Glaceon's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, Attack trails, 3 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Atk EVs, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Any who become captivated by the beauty of the snowfall that Glaceon creates will be frozen before they know it.
The coldness emanating from Glaceon causes powdery snow to form, making it quite a popular Pokémon at ski resorts.
Glaceon Weakness
Glaceon's Ice typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Steel. 4 weaknesses is about average, nothing too hard to play around.
| Damage | Types |

| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Fighting, Rock, Steel |

In Sword & Shield, Incineroar threatens a KO with Flare Blitz (98-116%). Lunatone deals 50-60% with Psychic.

How to Evolve

Sword & Shield Glaceon Best Moveset
Icebody isn't flashy, but it matters. Combined with Leftovers for passive recovery each turn and max Sp. Atk without Speed EVs, Glaceon fills the defensive wall slot reliably. Bold nature finishes the spread.

Glaceon Guide
In Sword & Shield, Glaceon has a 525 base stat total and ranks as B-Tier: a solid option in Sword & Shield for the right team. It works best as a wallbreaker. Auroraveil with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Sword & Shield, watch for Infernape (Fire), Machamp (Fighting), and Aerodactyl (Rock) when using Glaceon. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Steel-type attackers are also a problem.
Snow Cloak increases evasion to 1.25× during hail. That's the one you want on Glaceon. Ice Body is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
In Sword & Shield, Glaceon fills the wallbreaker role. It's a special attacker with base 130 Sp. Atk. At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Sword & Shield, run Auroraveil, Protect, Ice Beam, and Helpinghand on Glaceon. Auroraveil is the most common pick at 21% usage. This set covers the wallbreaker role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
Glaceon has been available in 14 games since Diamond & Pearl, though obtaining it requires an item-based evolution. This extra step makes it less common than Pokemon found through standard wild encounters.
