Flareon Weakness

Flareon is weak to Water, Ground, and Rock. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Flash Fire grants an additional Fire immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Flareon's special bulk (base 110 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee Flareon Best Moveset

The moveset leans on Fighting and Normal coverage to catch would-be counters. Toxic Orb means self-poison for Guts or Poison Heal activation for Flareon, and max Attack and Speed EVs make sure nothing walls it cleanly. Guts fills in the gaps.

Best Build

Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee uses different battle mechanics.

Competitive build content is not applicable for this game. Select a main series game for builds.

Moves

Leveling does the heavy lifting. Flareon picks up Flare Blitz and Fire Blast along the way, building toward a complete offensive set. TMs add Normal and Fighting coverage and more, but the foundation's already strong by then.

Flareon Guide

  • In Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee, Flash Fire changes the entire equation for Flareon. The 525 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a wallbreaker. Flare Blitz with Toxic Orb is the standard set.

  • In Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee, Flareon's biggest threats include Gyarados (Water), Rhydon (Ground), and Golem (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.

  • Flash Fire is what you want on Flareon. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Guts) work on paper but Flash Fire is what makes Flareon worth using. Flash Fire synergizes with Flareon's base 110 Sp.Def, letting it soak special attacks as a pivot.

  • At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Flareon is a physical attacker with base 130 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.

  • For Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee, the core moveset is Flare Blitz, Superpower, Facade, and Quickattack. Flare Blitz leads at 21% usage. This set covers the wallbreaker role with a mix of damage and utility.

Game Availability

One of the original 151, Flareon has appeared in 22 games — nearly every mainline game. From Red & Blue through the latest titles, it's rarely been left out of a regional Pokedex.
