Stats & Training
Eelektrik's spread isn't flashy. Attack leads, Speed trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Moderately hard to find and worth 2 Attack EVs, on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
They coil around foes and shock them with electricity-generating organs that seem simply to be circular patterns.
These Pokémon have a big appetite. When they spot their prey, they attack it and paralyze it with electricity.
Eelektrik Weakness
Eelektrik's Electric typing leaves it vulnerable to Ground. Its Electric typing keeps the defensive matchups simple. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.

Eelektrik Guide
In Sun & Moon, Eelektrik isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Eelektross to unlock its full potential. At 405 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
In Sun & Moon, watch for Garchomp (Ground) when using Eelektrik. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. At base 40 Speed, Eelektrik won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
In Sun & Moon, Tynamo evolves into Eelektrik at level 39. Eelektrik evolves into Eelektross using a Thunder Stone. Eelektrik is a middle-stage evolution in the Tynamo line.
In Sun & Moon, Run Levitate on Eelektrik. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche.
In Sun & Moon, Eelektrik fills the trick room role. It's a mixed attacker with base 85 Attack and 75 Sp. Atk. Base 40 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Game Availability
Introduced in Black & White, Eelektrik has appeared in 9 games across 6 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
