Stats & Training
Bulk defines Zygarde's stat line. Defense and HP anchor the defensive side, but Sp. Atk can't keep up offensively. Near-impossible to catch and worth 3 HP EVs.
This is Zygarde’s form when it has gathered 50% of its cells. It wipes out all those who oppose it, showing not a shred of mercy.
It’s thought to be monitoring the ecosystem. There are rumors that even greater power lies hidden within it.
Zygarde Weakness
Type-wise, Zygarde takes extra damage from Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. Watch out for Ice attacks, those deal 4x damage. Electric moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Zygarde's physical bulk (base 121 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

How to Get Zygarde in Sun & Moon
Zygarde is handed to you at Route 16. No encounter rates or random spawns involved, so there's nothing to grind. Check the location details below for the exact conditions to trigger it.
Best Locations to Catch Zygarde in Sun & Moon
You'll get Zygarde through 8 set encounters at Lv. 30-50. The list below covers each gift location with its requirements.
Zygarde Guide
In Sun & Moon, Zygarde is a Legendary Pokemon rated B-Tier. At 600 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a tank. Thousandarrows with Choice Band is the standard set.
In Sun & Moon, Zygarde can Mega Evolve into Mega Zygarde. That's 700 BST, up from 600. The stat redistribution often changes its best role. Mega Stone required, one per battle.
In Sun & Moon, Zygarde's biggest threats include Weavile (Ice), Garchomp (Dragon), and Sylveon (Fairy), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Weavile is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Zygarde has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Aura Break is the go-to ability for Zygarde. It makes dark aura and fairy aura weaken moves of their respective types. It's Zygarde's only ability.
Base 95 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Zygarde is a physical attacker with base 100 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a tank.
Game Availability
First obtainable in X & Y, Zygarde has been featured in 6 titles across 5 generations. Legendary status means a single encounter per playthrough in most games.
