Stats & Training
Speed and Attack carry most of Crobat's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Moderately hard to find and yields 3 Speed EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It flies so silently through the dark on its four wings that it may not be noticed even when nearby.
Having four wings allows it to fly more quickly and quietly so it can sneak up on prey without its noticing.
Crobat Weakness
Electric, Ice, Psychic, and Rock moves hit Crobat for super-effective damage. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Ice, Psychic, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Poison, Fairy |
| 0.25x (Resist) | Grass, Fighting, Bug |
| 0x (Immune) | Ground |
In X & Y, Weavile deals 73-86% with Ice Shard.

Moves
Don't skip the egg moves. Crobat picks up Brave Bird and Curse only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Brave Bird and Fly while coverage across 8 types adds range.

How to Get Crobat in X & Y
Can't catch Crobat directly. Start with Zubat at decent rates from the locations below, then evolve with high friendship. The 3-stage chain from Zubat to Crobat is where the leveling time goes.
How to Obtain Crobat in X & Y
To get Crobat, start by catching Zubat through walking encounters at Lv. 8-15. The chain covers 1 catchable stage before reaching the final form.
Crobat Guide
For X & Y, we rate Crobat B-Tier: a solid option in X & Y for the right team. At 535 BST, it fits the support role. U Turn with Black Sludge is the standard set.
Inner Focus prevents flinching. That's the one you want on Crobat. Infiltrator is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Base 130 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Crobat is a physical attacker with base 90 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a support.
For X & Y, Crobat has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Electric, Ice, and Psychic-type attackers hit hardest.
Game Availability
Available in 18 titles since its debut in Gold & Silver, Crobat spans 9 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through wild encounters in most mainline games.
