Togekiss Weakness

Togekiss is weak to Electric, Ice, Poison, Rock, and Steel. On the flip side, it's immune to Ground and Dragon-type moves entirely. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. Togekiss's overall bulk (85/95/115) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

How to Get Togekiss in X & Y

No wild encounters for Togekiss in X & Y. Bring Togepi over from Gold, Crystal, or Legends: Arceus, then level through the stages. Each step in the chain is laid out below.

How to Obtain Togekiss in X & Y

  1. Togepi
    Step 1Breed Togepi from Togetic
  2. Togetic
    Step 2Evolve into Togetic
  3. Togekiss
    Step 3Togekiss

Togekiss Guide

  • In X & Y, Togekiss has a 545 base stat total and ranks as B-Tier: a solid option in X & Y for the right team. It works best as a wallbreaker. Air Slash with Leftovers is the standard set.

  • In X & Y, Togekiss's biggest threats include Jolteon (Electric), Cloyster (Ice), and Crobat (Poison), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Rock and Steel-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • Hustle is the go-to ability for Togekiss. It strengthens physical moves to inflict 1.5× damage, but decreases their accuracy to 0.8×. Its hidden ability Super Luck can work in specific setups. Serene Grace is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.

  • In X & Y, Togekiss fills the wallbreaker role. It's leaning toward the special side (base 120 Sp. Atk). Base 80 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's tanky enough to absorb a few hits.

  • In X & Y, the best way to handle Togekiss: Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Physical attackers can break through.

Game Availability

Togekiss has been available in 12 games since Diamond & Pearl, though obtaining it requires an item-based evolution. This extra step makes it less common than Pokemon found through standard wild encounters.
