Swablu Weakness
Electric, Ice, and Rock moves hit Swablu for super-effective damage. The upside? Ground and Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Ice, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Grass, Bug |
| 0x (Immune) | Ground, Ghost |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
In Black & White, Terrakion can KO Swablu with Stone Edge (214-252%). Magnezone threatens a KO with Thunderbolt (179-210%). Mamoswine's Ice Shard also KOs at 142-168%.

How to Get Swablu in Black & White
Swablu can't be caught in Black & White. Bring it over from Ruby, Emerald, or Sword instead. The encounter info below covers the source games.
Swablu Guide
Get Swablu to Altaria at level 35. At 310 BST, Swablu is just the starting point.
Level 35 gets you Altaria. Not the fastest evolution, so consider Exp. Share or route grinding to speed it up.
In Black & White, Swablu does the job early-game if you need a Normal/Flying type on your team. Evolve it into Altaria before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
You can find Swablu in Black & White. The Locations section has the full breakdown of routes and encounter details. It also appears in 15 other games across the series.
