Stats & Training
Defense leads and Attack gets almost nothing. That's Cosmoem's stat line in a nutshell. 2 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Tough to catch and yields 2 Defense and Sp. Def EVs.
Motionless as if dead, its body is faintly warm to the touch. In the distant past, it was called the cocoon of the stars.
There’s something accumulating around the black core within its hard shell. People think this Pokémon may come from another world.
Cosmoem Weakness
Type-wise, Cosmoem takes extra damage from Bug, Ghost, and Dark. Cosmoem's overall bulk (43/131/131) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Cosmoem Guide
In Sun & Moon, Cosmoem is a Legendary Pokemon rated D-Tier. At 400 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a balanced. Base 131 Defense stands out.
In Sun & Moon, Cosmoem's biggest threats include Volcarona (Bug), Misdreavus (Ghost), and Absol (Dark), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. At base 37 Speed, Cosmoem won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Sturdy is the go-to ability for Cosmoem. It prevents being KOed from full HP, leaving 1 HP instead. It's Cosmoem's only ability.
Base 37 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Cosmoem is leaning toward the physical side (base 29 Attack). Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits.
In Sun & Moon, the best way to handle Cosmoem: Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Bug, Ghost, and Dark-type attackers hit hardest.
Game Availability
First obtainable in Sun & Moon, Cosmoem has been featured in 4 titles across 4 generations. Legendary status means a single encounter per playthrough in most games.
