Cofagrigus Weakness

Cofagrigus's Ghost typing leaves it vulnerable to Ghost and Dark. It shrugs off Normal and Fighting-type attacks completely. Cofagrigus's physical bulk (base 145 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Cofagrigus Best Moveset

Toxic Spikes is the priority every time Cofagrigus comes in. Sassy nature and flexible EVs keep it alive long enough to get layers down, while Mental Herb provides one-time Taunt or Encore immunity. Mummy rounds it out.

How to Get Cofagrigus in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon

Cofagrigus can't be caught in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. Transfer Yamask from Black, Black 2, or Sword and evolve through the 2-stage line to get it. The step cards below map the full chain.

Cofagrigus Guide

  • In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Cofagrigus works as a trick room with 483 BST behind it. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon's meta. Trickroom with Mental Herb is the standard set.

  • In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, watch for Chandelure (Ghost) and Hydreigon (Dark) when using Cofagrigus. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. At base 30 Speed, Cofagrigus won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.

  • Mummy changes attacking Pokémon's abilities to Mummy on contact. That's the one you want on Cofagrigus. It's the only ability Cofagrigus has.

  • Cofagrigus is a special attacker with base 95 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 30 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the trick room role.

  • For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Cofagrigus has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Ghost and Dark-type attackers hit hardest.

Game Availability

Since Black & White, Cofagrigus has been obtainable in 8 games. A Generation 5 debut means a shorter history, but Cofagrigus has appeared steadily across every generation since.
