Weepinbell Crystal Guide
Weepinbell is meant to evolve into Victreebel. At 390 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Weepinbell is a mixed attacker with base 90 Attack and 85 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Fragile, can't afford to take many hits.
For Crystal, you can run Weepinbell through the first few routes without issues. 390 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Victreebel as fast as you can.
For Crystal, the core moveset is Swords Dance, Sludge Bomb, Hiddenpowerground, and Sleep Powder. Swords Dance leads at 0% usage. This set covers the balanced role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
One of the original 151, Weepinbell has appeared in 20 games — most mainline games. From Red & Blue through the latest titles, it's rarely been left out of a regional Pokedex.
