  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Weezing looks average on paper at 490 BST. But Levitate is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier on our tier list. Will O Wisp with Black Sludge is the standard set.

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Weezing's biggest threats include Golem (Ground) and Starmie (Psychic), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Weezing gets Levitate, Neutralizing Gas, and Stench. But Levitate is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.

  • Weezing is a special attacker with base 85 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often.

  • For HeartGold & SoulSilver, the core moveset is Will O Wisp, Flamethrower, Painsplit, and Thunderbolt. Will O Wisp leads at 23% usage. This set covers the balanced role with a mix of damage and utility.
