Stats & Training
Toxtricity's built around mixed offense. Sp. Atk leads the charge, Defense pays for it. Tough to catch, worth 2 Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
Its excessive electric energy is its weapon. This Pokémon can build up more electricity than any thundercloud.
Out of control after its own poison penetrated its brain, it tears across the land in a rampage, contaminating the earth with toxic sweat.
Toxtricity Weakness
Ground and Psychic moves hit Toxtricity for super-effective damage. Ground hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. 8 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Ground |
| 2x (Weak) | Psychic |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Electric, Grass, Fighting, Poison, Flying, Bug, Steel, Fairy |
In Sword & Shield, Excadrill can KO Toxtricity with Earthquake (256-302%). Garchomp's Earthquake also KOs at 249-293%.

Toxtricity Guide
In Sword & Shield, Don't let Toxtricity's 502 base stat total fool you. Technician is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as an attacker. Boomburst with Choice Specs is the standard set.
In Sword & Shield, Run Technician on Toxtricity. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Toxtricity also gets Punk Rock and Plus, but they don't compare.
In Sword & Shield, Toxtricity fills the attacker role. It's a special attacker with base 114 Sp. Atk. Base 75 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Sword & Shield, run Boomburst, Overdrive, Volt Switch, and Shiftgear on Toxtricity. Boomburst is the most common pick at 23% usage. This set covers the attacker role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
Toxtricity first appeared in Sword & Shield and spans 3 games across 3 generations. It later gained a Gigantamax form in Generation 8, adding new dimensions to its competitive identity.
