When it gets down on all fours as if to beg for forgiveness, it’s trying to lure opponents in so that it can stab them with its spear-like hair.

Most of Morgrem's flexibility comes from TMs. Same-type output runs through Foul Play and Play Rough, but Normal and Fighting and the rest of the TM pool push it from predictable to genuinely threatening.

or evolve from Impidimp (Step 1)

Morgrem Guide

  • At 370 BST, Morgrem is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Grimmsnarl before bringing it to any serious fight.

  • In Sword & Shield, Morgrem's biggest threats include Crobat (Poison), Lucario (Steel), and Mimikyu (Fairy), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.

  • In Sword & Shield, Impidimp evolves into Morgrem at level 32. Morgrem evolves into Grimmsnarl at level 42. Morgrem is a middle-stage evolution in the Impidimp line.

  • Morgrem gets Prankster, Frisk, and Pickpocket. But Prankster is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.

  • Morgrem is a special attacker with base 75 Sp. Atk. Fragile, can't afford to take many hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 70 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many.

Game Availability

Since Sword & Shield, Morgrem has been obtainable in 2 games. A Generation 8 debut means a shorter history, but Morgrem has appeared steadily across every generation since.
