Stats & Training
Attack and HP carry most of Toucannon's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 3 Attack EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
They smack beaks with others of their kind to communicate. The strength and number of hits tell each other how they feel.
Known for forming harmonious couples, this Pokémon is brought to wedding ceremonies as a good luck charm.
Toucannon Weakness
Electric, Ice, and Rock moves hit Toucannon for super-effective damage. The upside? Ground and Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all. With 80 HP and balanced defenses, Toucannon can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

How to Get Toucannon in Scarlet & Violet
Toucannon isn't available in the wild in Scarlet & Violet. Start by transferring Pikipek from Sun or Ultra Sun. The evolution path from Pikipek to Toucannon is covered in the steps below.
Toucannon Guide
In Scarlet & Violet, Sheer Force changes the entire equation for Toucannon. The 485 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a wallbreaker. Bullet Seed with Life Orb is the standard set.
Sheer Force is what you want on Toucannon. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Keen Eye, Skill Link) work on paper but Sheer Force is what makes Toucannon worth using.
At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Toucannon is a physical attacker with base 120 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
In Scarlet & Violet, Toucannon's hidden ability is Sheer Force. Strengthens moves with extra effects to 1.3× their power, but prevents their extra effects. Better than the standard options for competitive play.
Game Availability
Toucannon joined the series in Sun & Moon and has been available in 3 titles so far. With 4 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
