Trumbeak Guide

  • In Sun & Moon, Trumbeak isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Toucannon to unlock its full potential. At 355 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.

  • In Sun & Moon, Trumbeak's biggest threats include Jolteon (Electric), Weavile (Ice), and Tyranitar (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.

  • In Sun & Moon, Pikipek evolves into Trumbeak at level 14. Trumbeak evolves into Toucannon at level 28. Trumbeak is a middle-stage evolution in the Pikipek line.

  • Keen Eye is the go-to ability for Trumbeak. It prevents accuracy from being lowered. Its hidden ability Pickup can work in specific setups. Skill Link is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.

  • In Sun & Moon, Trumbeak fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 40 Sp. Atk. Base 75 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's fragile, can't afford to take many hits.

Game Availability

Introduced in Sun & Moon, Trumbeak has appeared in 3 games across 4 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
