The tuft on its head holds water. When the level runs low, it replenishes the tuft by siphoning up water with its tail.

Simipour Guide

  • In Black & White, Simipour has a 498 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a niche pick in Black & White's meta. It works best as a pivot. Hydro Pump with Sitrus Berry is the standard set.

  • In Black & White, Simipour's biggest threats include Jolteon (Electric) and Exeggutor (Grass), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. Simipour's base 101 Speed lets it outpace many threats and strike first, which matters more than trying to tank hits.

  • Gluttony is the go-to ability for Simipour. It makes the Pokémon eat any held Berry triggered by low HP below 1/2 its max HP. Its hidden ability Torrent can work in specific setups.

  • In Black & White, Simipour fills the pivot role. It's a special attacker with base 98 Sp. Atk. Base 101 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.

  • In Black & White, the best way to handle Simipour: Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Electric and Grass-type attackers hit hardest.

Game Availability

Introduced in Black & White, Simipour has appeared in 7 games across 6 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
