In Sun & Moon, Simipour's biggest threats include Jolteon (Electric) and Exeggutor (Grass), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. Simipour's base 101 Speed lets it outpace many threats and strike first, which matters more than trying to tank hits.
Gluttony is the go-to ability for Simipour. It makes the Pokémon eat any held Berry triggered by low HP below 1/2 its max HP. Its hidden ability Torrent can work in specific setups.
