Regigigas Weakness

Type-wise, Regigigas takes extra damage from Fighting. Ghost moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Regigigas's overall bulk (110/110/110) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Ice coverage keeps opponents guessing about Regigigas's real targets. Leftovers provides passive recovery each turn while max HP and Sp. Def EVs and Careful nature handle the stat profile. Slowstart ties it together.

Stall teams hate this. Regigigas can spread damage across 10 types, with Fire and Steel punishing common defensive pivots. STAB from Giga Impact and Hyper Beam keeps the pressure honest on everything else.

Regigigas Guide

  • In X & Y, Regigigas is a Legendary Pokemon rated B-Tier. At 670 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a sweeper. Thunder Wave with Leftovers is the standard set.

  • In X & Y, Regigigas's biggest threats include Blaziken (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. Regigigas has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.

  • Slow Start is the go-to ability for Regigigas. It halves Attack and Speed for five turns upon entering battle. It's Regigigas's only ability.

  • In X & Y, Regigigas fills the sweeper role. It's a physical attacker with base 160 Attack. Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's tanky enough to absorb a few hits.

  • In X & Y, the best way to handle Regigigas: Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.

Game Availability

Regigigas has appeared in 13 games since Diamond & Pearl, spanning 7 generations. As a Legendary, it's typically a one-per-save encounter tied to the story or post-game content.
