It is believed to have shaped REGIROCK, REGICE, and REGISTEEL out of clay, ice, and magma.

Regigigas Weakness

Type-wise, Regigigas takes extra damage from Fighting. Ghost moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Regigigas's overall bulk (110/110/110) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

How to Get Regigigas in HeartGold & SoulSilver

No wild encounters for Regigigas in HeartGold & SoulSilver. It's available in Diamond, Platinum, or Legends: Arceus and can be transferred over. The details below show where to find it.

Regigigas Guide

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Regigigas is a Legendary Pokemon rated B-Tier. At 670 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a sweeper. Thunder Wave with Leftovers is the standard set.

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Regigigas's biggest threats include Blaziken (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. Regigigas has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.

  • Slow Start is the go-to ability for Regigigas. It halves Attack and Speed for five turns upon entering battle. It's Regigigas's only ability.

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, Regigigas fills the sweeper role. It's a physical attacker with base 160 Attack. Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's tanky enough to absorb a few hits.

  • For HeartGold & SoulSilver, the core moveset is Thunder Wave, Return, Substitute, and Earthquake. Thunder Wave leads at 23% usage. Return provides reliable STAB damage.

Game Availability

Regigigas has appeared in 13 games since Diamond & Pearl, spanning 7 generations. As a Legendary, it's typically a one-per-save encounter tied to the story or post-game content.
