Stats & Training
Mismagius's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, HP trails, 3 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Atk and Sp. Def EVs, on a fast 800K XP curve.
Feared for its wrath and the curses it spreads, this Pokémon will also, on a whim, cast spells that help people.
Its muttered curses can cause awful headaches or terrifying visions that torment others.
Mismagius Weakness
Ghost and Dark moves hit Mismagius for super-effective damage. The upside? Normal and Fighting-type moves can't touch it at all. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Mismagius's special bulk (base 105 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Mismagius Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Don't let Mismagius's 495 base stat total fool you. Levitate is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as a sweeper. Shadow Ball with Focus Sash is the standard set.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Run Levitate on Mismagius. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. With base 105 Speed, Levitate gives Mismagius an edge before opponents can react.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Mismagius fills the sweeper role. It's leaning toward the special side (base 105 Sp. Atk). Base 105 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, run Shadow Ball, Skillswap, Dazzling Gleam, and Taunt on Mismagius. Shadow Ball is the most common pick at 25% usage. This set covers the sweeper role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
Mismagius has been available in 12 games since Diamond & Pearl, though obtaining it requires an item-based evolution. This extra step makes it less common than Pokemon found through standard wild encounters.
