The spirits it absorbs fuel its baleful fire. It hangs around hospitals waiting for people to pass on.

Lampent Weakness

Lampent is weak to Water, Ground, Rock, Ghost, and Dark. On the flip side, it's immune to Normal and Fighting-type moves entirely. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Flash Fire grants an additional Fire immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.

Lampent Guide

  • At 370 BST, Lampent is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Chandelure before bringing it to any serious fight.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Lampent's biggest threats include Gyarados (Water), Garchomp (Ground), and Golem (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Ghost and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Litwick evolves into Lampent at level 41. Lampent evolves into Chandelure using a Dusk Stone. Lampent is a middle-stage evolution in the Litwick line.

  • Lampent gets Flash Fire, Flame Body, and Infiltrator. But Flash Fire is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.

  • Lampent is a special attacker with base 95 Sp. Atk. Speed tells the real story. At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often.

Game Availability

Since Black & White, Lampent has been obtainable in 9 games. A Generation 5 debut means a shorter history, but Lampent has appeared steadily across every generation since.
