Stats & Training

Defense leads and Sp. Atk gets almost nothing. That's Gliscor's stat line in a nutshell. 3 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Tough to catch and yields 2 Defense EVs.

Gliscor Weakness

Gliscor is weak to Ice and Water. Watch out for Ice attacks, those deal 4x damage. On the flip side, it's immune to Electric and Ground-type moves entirely. Gliscor's physical bulk (base 125 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Where To Catch Gliscor in Black 2 & White 2

To get Gliscor, start by catching Gligar through walking encounters at Lv. 37-65. The chain covers 2 catchable stages before reaching the final form.

Gliscor Guide

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Poison Heal changes the entire equation for Gliscor. The 510 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked B-Tier as a pivot. Earthquake with Toxic Orb is the standard set.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Gliscor's biggest threats include Lapras (Ice) and Gyarados (Water), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Lapras is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Poison Heal is what you want on Gliscor. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Hyper Cutter, Sand Veil) work on paper but Poison Heal is what makes Gliscor worth using.

  • Base 95 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Gliscor is a physical attacker with base 95 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a pivot.

  • In Black 2 & White 2, Poison Heal is the hidden ability. It heals for 1/8 max HP after each turn when poisoned in place of damage. Worth hunting for if you want Gliscor to compete at a higher level.

Game Availability

Obtainable through an item-based evolution, Gliscor appears in 12 titles across 7 generations since Diamond & Pearl. The evolution method adds a barrier that wild-catchable Pokemon don't have.
