Stats & Training
Jolteon's built around special offense. Speed leads the charge, Defense pays for it. Tough to catch, worth 2 Speed EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It controls 10,000-volt power. When the fur covering its body stands on end, the fur is hard and sharp, like needles.

Jolteon Weakness
Jolteon's Electric typing leaves it vulnerable to Ground. Its Electric typing keeps the defensive matchups simple. Volt Absorb grants an additional Electric immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Jolteon's special bulk (base 95 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

How to Get Jolteon in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
No wild encounters for Jolteon in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Bring Eevee over from Red, Yellow, or Ultra Sun, then level through the stages. Each step in the chain is laid out below.
Jolteon Guide
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Don't let Jolteon's 525 base stat total fool you. Volt Absorb is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it B-Tier as a sweeper. Thunder with Choice Specs is the standard set.
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, watch for Rhydon (Ground) when using Jolteon. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Run Volt Absorb on Jolteon. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Jolteon also gets Quick Feet, but they don't compare. With base 130 Speed, Volt Absorb gives Jolteon an edge before opponents can react.
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Jolteon fills the sweeper role. It's a special attacker with base 110 Sp. Atk. Base 130 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Jolteon has answers, but so do you. Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.
